Therapy is a confidential space where you can talk openly with a trained mental health professional to understand challenges, develop coping skills, and work toward emotional well-being.
How do I know if I need therapy?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, depressed, stressed, or simply want support or personal growth, therapy can be helpful—even if you’re not in crisis.
Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?
No. Many people come to therapy for support, self-understanding, or life transitions without having a formal diagnosis.
Do you provide in person sessions?
No, Elevate and Evolve Therapy is a virtual practice only. I serve clients in NC.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an intake assessment. This assessment focuses on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and reviewing goals.
How long does therapy last?
This varies. The length depends on your goals and needs.
How often are sessions scheduled?
Most clients attend weekly or biweekly, but frequency can be adjusted based on your situation
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy is private, with limited exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to yourself or others).
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept Aetna and BlueCross Blue Shield.
I don’t have insurance. How much does a session cost?
Initial Individual Intake Assessment: $175
Subsequent Sessions: $145 per session
For self pay clients, under the No Surprises Act (HHS, 2022), you have the right to receive a 'Good Faith Estimate' explaining how much your care will cost before you receive services.
How much do EMDR Intensives cost?
2- Hour Jump Start - $300
4-Hour Intensive - $550
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
A 24 hour notice during business hours is required to avoid a cancellation fee.
What if I’m in crisis or need immediate help?
If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services or a crisis hotline (988). I am not available for emergency care outside sessions.
